The RFI journalists interviewed a Soieries du Mekong silk weaver who attended our financial education training in 2007. Thanks to the training, she explained that she learned how to save and managed to have her house built and buy a motorbike. Back in 2007: the first training that she attended:

Les Soieries du Mekong is a social enterprise based in Banteay Chhmar, Banteay Mancheay Province (Cambodia), who has re-launched the production of high quality hand-made silk weaving, which helps support many families in the village. Since 2007, Soieiries has introduced a+b=3’s financial education programmes to help silk weavers make the most of their income.
