Financial and Business Literacy TOT – GIZ Laos Pakse – day 2

Second day of a five day Training of Trainers in Pakse, Laos, organised by GIZ-AFP, sponsored by Bank of the Lao-PDR, GIZ-AFP and Australian Aid and co-facilitated with our Laos partners EDC.

Today, facilitators practised facilitating different examples of financial literacy programmes for different target groups: farmers with yearly income, factory workers with a monthly salary and remitting money to family and small business selling on a daily basis. Beside practising using participatory training methods, this encourages them to adapt the content to the challenges faced by their target groups (how to save for a yearly expense when we earn a daily income, or how to keep enough for daily expenses for 12 months when we earn only once a year…).
