Three social workers of Enfants du Mekong Phnom Penh – who attended the Training the Trainers in March- conducted several training workshops for the low income families supported by Enfants du Mekong. They adapted the a+b=3 material and ran several activities:
- managing expenses according to how much we earn (by identifying needs and wants)
- going to the market (focusing on spending behaviour)
- managing the different kinds of expenses according to their frequency, especially monthly expenses
185 adults attended, split in different groups. Families reacted very positively to the training and would like more! One month later, one mother confided that she had cut her expenses and started paying back her debts every month.
