First day of our training of trainers in Kinshasa in collaboration with our Congolese partner APPEC. The training takes place at FOLECO (Federation of Lay Economic NGOs) for 5 days and welcomes about thirty participants from various civil organisations.
Today we began by thinking about the aims of financial education and introduced our “problem / solution” approach: how financial education can help solve the problems that families face, whether in the short term (in a crisis), or in the long term to avoid problems or mitigate their effects.
Then the participants discovered examples of training sessions using participatory methods: story, budget with pictures and toy banknotes, how to record expenses.
