In August 2018, in Siem Reap, Cambodia, GAEA Waste Management Company organised workshops for their staff on money management. Saruom who previously attended several training the trainers with a+b=3 and is employed by GAEA, facilitated the workshops. Saruom commented: “Participants calculated and found out that they spend half of their salary on drinking beers. Cutting down unnecessary expense is the best way for low-income people to help themselves get out of debt.” Raising awareness on spending pattern is the very first step to managing money and most of all, being motivated to do it.
