Money adventures… in Spanish!

Holá! For four mornings in a row, we ran our money workshop for 6-8 year old children “Adventures at Money Park” in Español in the Spanish Immersion School of Eden Prairie (MN, USA). That was definitely fun to see kids play in various activities around money. They learned and practised how to convert pesos to dollars, how to shop wisely, needs and wants, credit cards, why and how to save, how to write a simple budget. We even visited a virtual shop and bank!
Our “little helpers” – the cartoon characters we use to teach money to kids – were here too: Spencer the Smart Spender™ (a squirel) had turned into Armando el Comprador Listo™ ! Spencer is now trilingual: English, Cantonese and Spanish… good news, he’s learning French!
