On February 25 and 28, we ran our second level Training the Trainers: “learn to teach money management – making an impact”. This second level is open to trainers who have attended a previous training the trainers on financial education and have already implemented financial education programmes with their clients. It was hosted by the Centre Mérieux of Enfants du Mékong in Phnom Penh. Trainers discussed the successes and challenges of the financial education programmes they have implemented (mainly with very low income families around Phnom Penh) and during the two days, refreshed and consolidated their financial knowledge (bank accounts, insurance, budgeting, net worth, going out of debt…) and identified the various ways of putting financial education messages in action, even for people with very low and irregular income.
